‘The future has already arrived. It’s just not evenly distributed yet.’ The man who invented to word “cyberspace” the sci-fi writer William Gibson said that in the early 1990s and the observation is still true. But it is not fiction: we have to live and work in this world of confusion of clear opportunities and utterly unpredictable surprises.
On 20th June 2017 we held our London Independent Professionals event – a stimulating panel discussion on the highly topical subject ‘the next big thing’. Five a-connect Independent Professionals from our London network were brought together because of their expertise and insights into innovation. We had experts from the fields of agribusiness, retail and consumer goods, healthcare and fintech. The discussion was chaired by Peter Day – long standing BBC business correspondent and presenter of ‘In Business’.
